Privacy and cookies

This notice explains what happens to the details you give us through this website. Aftercare Home Improvements Ltd (company number 16722107, registered in England and Wales) is responsible for them. You can reach us at info@aftercarehomeimprovements.co.uk or on 020 3051 9852.

What we collect

Only what you type into the quote form:

• the kind of work you need, what is going on with the roof and how soon you need it;
• your postcode;
• your name and phone number;
• your email address and any notes, if you choose to add them;
• that you ticked the consent box, with the date and time.

We also record which page of this site you sent the form from (the address without anything after a question mark) and, if you came from one of our adverts, the name and number of the advert. We use that to see which adverts bring enquiries.

Why we use it

To answer your enquiry: to call, message or email you about it, arrange your free inspection, give you a quote, and do the work if you go ahead. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract and, once you go ahead, performing that contract. We don't use your details for anything else and we don't send marketing.

Who handles it

Our team, plus the companies that run things for us:

• Netlify, which hosts this website and passes your form on;
• Abula Marketing, which manages our enquiries for us, and the tools it uses to do that: Make (which moves the enquiry), Airtable (where it is stored) and WhatsApp from Meta (which sends us an alert and may send you a message confirming we've received it).

Some of these companies store data outside the UK, including in the United States and the EU. Where they do, it is covered by the UK's data transfer rules, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. We never sell your details or pass them to anyone for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

If you don't go ahead, we delete your enquiry within 24 months. If we do work for you, we keep the records we need for the guarantee and for tax and accounting, normally for six years after the job.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to how we use it, or ask us to stop contacting you. Email info@aftercarehomeimprovements.co.uk and we'll reply within a month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab).

Cookies and storage

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and it doesn't load anything from other companies' servers while you browse. Fonts and images come from this site.

While you fill in the quote form, your answers are kept in your browser's session storage so they aren't lost if you reload the page. They stay on your device, are never sent anywhere until you press send, and are cleared when you send the form or close the tab.

If we ever add analytics or advertising cookies, we will ask you first, give you an equally easy way to say no, and update this notice before we do.
