How a flat roof goes on.
How a flat roof goes on.
One roof, four stages, each laid over the last. The layers under the felt decide how long it lasts.
Strip it back
The old covering comes off, right down to the boards, so you can see what is underneath instead of guessing. Rotten boards come out.
A new deck
New boards go down over the joists and are screwed solid. A flat roof is only as good as what it sits on.
Torch-on base layer
The base layer is rolled out and heat-sealed to the deck with a torch, lapped at every join and dressed up the walls.
Finished and watertight
A mineral-finished cap sheet goes over the top. It sheds water and stands up to the weather.
