Roofers in Haringey
N4, N8, N15, N22
Crouch End, Harringay ladders, Muswell Hill and Tottenham: long runs of Victorian terraces with back additions, shared gutters and chimney stacks that take a beating. N4, N8, N15 and N22.

The housing stock in Haringey
Haringey is terrace country. The Harringay ladder roads, the streets climbing up to Crouch End and Muswell Hill, and the long Victorian rows through Tottenham share a common design: a main pitched roof, a two-storey back addition with its own smaller roof, a valley or shared gutter between neighbours, and a chimney stack sitting right in the weather.
Back additions and the junction that leaks
The rear back addition is where most Haringey terraces let water in. The junction between the main roof and the addition roof, and the valley or box gutter that runs along it, is a genuinely awkward detail, and it's often been patched several times by different people over the decades.
We strip the patchwork back and line the junction properly rather than adding another layer of sealant to the pile. It costs more once and then stops costing anything.
Shared gutters and your neighbour's roof
On a terrace, your gutter is frequently your neighbour's gutter too, and a blockage or a failed section three doors down can show up as damp in your wall. That makes some repairs a conversation rather than just a job.
We're used to it. We'll explain clearly what's yours, what's shared, and what needs your neighbour's agreement, and we're happy to speak to them directly if that makes it easier.
Chimney stacks in N8 and N4
Crouch End and Muswell Hill sit high and exposed, and the chimney stacks on those streets get hit hard. Perished mortar joints, cracked flaunching at the top and flashing that's pulled away from the brick are all extremely common, and all of them let water track down inside the wall rather than off it.
We repoint stacks, renew flaunching and fit correctly sized lead soakers and flashings. Where a stack is disused and beyond economic repair we can cap or remove it and make the roof good.
What people say once the job's done.
Alex and Will travelled over… to do this for me before the next lot of rain, and giving me peace of mind. Absolutely superb service with friendly and approachable guys willing to help.
Called Aftercare to do a repair on my roof. Will and his team came out, done a fantastic job in quick timing, reasonably priced.

Haringey: local questions.
Water is coming in where my back addition meets the main roof. What is that?
That's the valley or the box gutter at the junction, and it's the most common leak on a Victorian terrace. It's usually a failed lining or a blocked outlet. Surface patching rarely holds because the water is getting in under the lap rather than through an obvious hole.
Do you cover Crouch End, Harringay and Tottenham?
All of them. N4, N8, N15 and N22 are core areas for us, along with Muswell Hill and Hornsey.
The gutter I need fixed is shared with next door. Can you still do it?
Yes. In practice we'll need access and agreement from both sides, and we're happy to talk to your neighbour and quote in a way that lets the two of you split it fairly.
How do I know if my chimney needs repointing or rebuilding?
If the mortar joints are soft and receding but the bricks themselves are sound, repointing will do. If the bricks are spalling, the stack is leaning, or the top courses are loose, it needs rebuilding from a sound course down. We'll check it from up close at the inspection.
